Blue Belt - 2 Stripes

Father, performance coach, wrestler and part-time BJJ player 😉🤙🏻

I have enjoyed many sports during my 20+ years of training, from rugby league to powerlifting, Football to wrestling. My main love is collision sports, starting back in the Under 12s playing rugby at school. Realising my knack for getting up close and personal with opponents and inflicting physical dominance to win the contact area. My love for wrestling stemmed during those rugby years, where I began training in Catch-as-Catch-can wrestling to help develop my ground work and to try something new. At the time, CACC Wrestling was very isolated to several places in the world, so access to gyms was hard to come by. However, I was very fortunate to train under my friend and first wrestling coach - Luke Mannion.

Fast forward to the COVID-19 era, where after many failed years of calling it a day on my rugby playing career. I rekindled my love for submission grappling and finally closed the door on rugby for good, finding a home competing in CACC and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Today, I serve dual roles at the training centre as both wrestling and strength and conditioning coach alongside Claire. Being invited to join the GH instructor team has been a true privilege and honour, and I'm proud to be part of a group dedicated to building something exceptional.

My main aim is to bring CACC wrestling to the midlands, to grow as a coach and encourage young talent to blossom and compete under a different rule set. With hopes to take wrestlers to the highest levels of the sport.

My dream is to compete at the World CACC Championships, which has alluded me over recent years due to injury. I am hoping to also take GH alumni along for the ride and showcase submission wrestling to the masses.
